A Differnt Day Collection Release

What is something you do every day that you did today and hopefully you’ll do tomorrow? The most common and simple answer to this question should be

“I woke up.”

One of the most overlooked pleasures that most of us take for granted in life is simply being able to say, we have seen another day. On the other hand, there are a few of us that rely on sleep as a “safe-haven” as one would call it–an escape from the outside world so that we may protect those around us from the attitude, anger, and/or irritation that is set to light a bomb. I was once told that, “there is beauty in life,” which begs the question, does everyone acknowledge and appreciate the beauty in being able to start over a new 24 hours with different perceptions and a new outlook on how one may go about completing the tasks for the day?

A new urban-wear brand called A Differnt Day is created on that very foundation. “Every day is a chance at starting again with a fresh start or continuing on your path to greatness,” is how the creator of the brand explained the concept. Pre-Sales for the new collection are out now, click here to wake up, and begin your differnt day!

#WriterCrushWednesday “The Truth About Love”

You know those, “Reading is essential” moments that happen almost daily for some, hourly for others? If not, here are some examples that most of us can relate to:

  • Driving down a road that has a sign that reads “Do not enter.”
  • Placing a container in the microwave that reads “Do not microwave.”

It seems as if books have become the lost treasures of the world, reading and writing have both become a lost art that a lot of people seem to miss but never do anything about. When is the last time you walked into Barnes and Noble; how about the book section of Target, or Walmart? Every time I log onto a social media outlet or turn on basic cable I see commercials or previews/trailers of a new incredible TV show or movie, but never a good book.

Due to the power of the internet and social media, I came across one of the most fascinating books that I have read in awhile. The Truth About Love is an online book written by a young black author named Nichelle-Baldwin Hunt. Hunt flawlessly connects with her audience to describe HER depiction of love touching on themes such as, “death, life, depression, addiction, etc. She does this by creating a love story with plot twists and turns that keep her readers on the edges of their seats. She mentioned that “I want them to be able to use my experiences to deal with their own. I’m giving them all of me and letting them into my world,” allowing the readers to see a side of her that is only revealed to her readers. Hunt uploads her chapters on a weekly basis, if you’re interested in a new, fresh, good read check out her book! (If you don’t have a New Year Resolution and you haven’t read a book recently: broaden your vocabulary, sign out of Netflix, and start reading.)
